| Boating/ Transportation | Gali ta Paraw lay Unlayag (rowing song) | This song is about how the native boats called Paraw sail in the waters of the western Pangasinan coastal towns to ferry people who go about their daily life/work. | |

| For Healing/ Prayer for the Souls | Pantawtawag | Pantawatawag comes from the word tawag that means “to call”. Verses are sung/ chanted to call the soul/ spirit of the sick person, especially a child, in order for him/her to get well. In another version, the verses are sung as supplication for the poor souls in purgatory. | |
| Religious Worship | Abët-abët | This is a Catholic Lenten tradition practiced in Pangasinan that is known as “Salubong” in Filipino. In this traditional religious exercise songs are sung as part of the liturgy. | |

| Senakulo (instrumental music – combo) | Senakulo is a Lenten tradition among Filipinos, which is also present in Pangasinan like in the Capitol town of Lingayen where it is still practiced at present.
